Since I started South West Swim I have always tried to give a little back to those doing remarkable things.

During the 2016 season we sponsored David Stevens and Sasha Leigh, who were chosen by our panel to be our 2016 Sponsored Charity Athletes.
I am in a lucky position to be able to do this again, and am inviting applications for our 2017 scheme from those who are new to the sport of Open Water / Triathlon or a novice athlete (i.e. only done 1 or 2 events or training swims in the 2016 season).

If you want the chance of becoming our sponsored charity swimmer for 2017 please read the information below and complete the form that follows. This will ask for information about you, your swimming and your experience level, all personal information will be kept private and we do not send this information to anybody, including our judging panel.

The closing date for applications is 31st January 2017, After which candidates for the place will be selected by our panel of trusted judges, which include last years winners and senior squad members. to be fair to all I am not involved in the final selection process and all athletes personal details are removed from the submissions when sent to the judges. The details sent to our panel will be your Charity, your Experience, your event and most importantly your story. Therefore please put in as much information about why you are doing what you plan to do, motivation, charity connections and background story.

In return for South West Swim sponsorship you would become a spokesperson for South West Swim during 2017 and also write about your swim / training journey in a monthly blog post for the South West Swim newsletter / website, in which we will also promote with your charity details.
