Just For Juniors!
Open Water 1-2-1’s

As per our adult based sessions we can also offer our junior swimmers 1-2-1 open water sessions.

These session are best suited to competitive swimmers aged 11 upwards, this is due to the lakes in the cotswolds having their own rules about junior swimmers.

We coach these session from two lakes; Lake32 and Lake86.  The rules for junior swimmers are different in each.  Please contact me if you are unsure of suitability or if you wanted your junior swimmer to swim in a specific lake.

Lake86 Rules:  Swimmer must be signed off by an Open Water Swim Coach (South West Swim are working in conjunction with the lake to provide this sign off service).  Swimmer MUST be able to swim 400m Front crawl without stopping.  Swimmer must be aged 11 (at the end of the year).

Lake32 Rules : (tbc for 2020):  all under 18’s must swim with a tow float.  Other rules to be confirmed

Just For Juniors!
Introduction to Open Water Swimming at Cotswold Waterpark Hire (Lake86)

During 2020 we are working with Cotswold Waterpark Hire to enable your g swimmers to swim at their lake.  The lake rules state that 11-16 years olds are not allowed to swim at Lake86 unless they have been signed off by an Open Water Swimming Coach.

This Workshops is aimed at those young swimmers who wish to be able to swim at the lake and will work through open water skills, safety and lake specific guidelines.

The session is open to all young swimmers aged 11 (by the end of the year) – 16 years old who hold a County qualification time.

We are also available to swimming and triathlon clubs to book this workshop session for their club as a private session.

Our first session in may is available to book now, with others being listed online later in the season if demand is needed.  We can also sign off swimmers on a 1-2-1 basis.
