11th November, A year ago today marks the first anniversary of the BEST professional thing that happened to me. I decided to build South West Swim into a full time business.

Jason SwimTrekGone were the days of being paid by an employer helping make somebody else’s dreams come true and it was hello to the days of helping you make your dreams come true! I now do something I love and I can really make a difference to people by helping them improve their swimming abilities.  Swimmers and triathletes, everyone aspiring to learn and better themselves, whether beginner or more experienced, contact me to coach and teach them.  This year I have coached individuals and groups in the local lakes for over 500 hours and we are now in our second winter of pool training and video analysis sessions.  I had the pleasure to meet many great athletes who value what I do, as I value their ambitions and goals. So what’s next?  Well, I am now in the final stages of building my own endless pool.  This facility will be available very soon for individuals to get more winter long distance training sessions in, those wishing to have one-to-one and video analysis sessions as well as those wishing to begin their journey and learn with a little more privacy.  I am so excited to be going to Australia in January to train with (IMO) one of the world’s best technical freestyle, open water and triathlon coaches, Paul Newsome.  This will then help me continue my journey with Swim Smooth.11917484_10152979333832085_1371066632421618345_n

Who knows what the next year will bring but I am excited to be part of your journey.  Never say you can’t do something, never get stuck in a job that does not drive your desire and passion.  Go out and do it.

Thank you to all my family, athletes, suppliers, friends, contacts and acquaintances for your support and sharing the ethos of South West Swim.

2016 – Bring it on!
