I swim a lot, I coach a lot, I wear these Jammers………a lot, how have they stood up to time?

I spend an awful lot of time in the water, both in the lake and pool so a good long lasting pair of jammers is quite hard to find.  I will tell no lies, I am a big Speedo jammer fan as their endurance fabrics have stood the test of time and last very well for swimmers who spend a lot of time training.  However, when we set up South West Swim store I fancied a change so decided to try out the HUUB training jammer.

When the stock arrived I was quite impressed with the look and feel of the material of the HUUB product, plus they looked extremely well crafted.  The material is soft to the touch and did not feel thick or harsh like some other swim products. It feels well made and proportioned, fitting snugly on the body without being restrictive or uncomfortable, almost like  a second skin.  Inside the jammer the drawstring is long enough not to be frustratingly lost in the waist band (we all hate it when that happens, right?) and there is a double panel of material in areas that, well you don’t want to be seen should a split or thinning occur :).  The HUUB logo is very prominent and eye catching, however this is printed and not stitched,  This is sometimes an issue on other products as over time they tend to peel off.  However there is no need  to worry about any such peeling on the HUUB jammers, 3 months of hard wear and the logo is still holding fast and looking as good as new.

So how are they doing? well for all their use the product is holding up like new.  they still fit and have not lost shape or colour and look like they did out of the packet.   I have put these through there paces, I have coached open water in them, put them under a wetsuit, raced in pool meets and trained in them daily, sometimes twice daily. I only use one pair so they get wet and they get dry and then used again.
So the question I have is can HUUB break into the mainstream (pool) swimming market with their swim products?
Well, if they are like these then they certainly can.  These are one of the most comfortable jammers I have worn for some time and have coped well with all the various swims thrown at them.  They feel smooth in the water when swimming with no drag and wear well.

The jammer is great value for money and performs well.  I cant wait to try HUUB’s other offerings of swim “clothing” such as the Trisuits, Swimskins and racing jammers next year.  If they are as good as the entry level training jammers then it would just be the icing on the swimming cake and go hand in hand with the brands premium wetsuits.

HUUB Training Jammers retail at £25 and in our opinion (based on the review above) offers great value for money.   Other HUUB products are available from South West Swim as either stock items or special orders, take a look at www.southwestswim.co.uk
